At the same time she senses, often painfully, the presence of division and polarization in her midst, as well as the troubling realization that many of the baptized, rather than acting as a spiritual leaven in the world, are inclined to embrace attitudes contrary to the truth of the Gospel. October is over, and I'll be watching much less horror for a while. Everybody else in the house had seen Man of Steel, but I hadn't. The rest of the family thought I should see it, calling it "the best Superman movie". Damned by faint praise, I suspected, but I did watch it. I agree that it's the best Superman movie. Many people felt the Ukrainian foster mother should give these children up for adoption instead of keeping them in a post soviet racist environment. Forced to constantly defend themselves from racist neighbors and skinheads, these children have to be on guard against the world that surrounds them. I wonder if the Ukrainian foster mother has the legal right to put these children up for adoption. Hung salon style across three walls, the photos are split thematically between tranquil, sunlit street scenes and the impassive memorials inside Kerepesi Cemetery.

The sculptures are depicted in muted tones inside wooden frames or on large black mounts, the silent stone figures keeping a watchful eye on the Hungarian capital’s thriving street life.

I like auctions, I like bidding. I should have been a picker…no not a nose picker a person that picks stuff out for antique shops. Recently I was on a quest. Shiny Brites made a pine cone ornament way back when…probably before WWII.

I didn’t have one.

I bid on a group of six pine cones online …then I bid again and yet again. and maybe a few more times…I kinda lost track…then I left the house so I wouldn’t bid anymore.

Came back a few hours later and low and behold I was the winning bid.

God takes us into deep waters, not to drown us but to cleanse us. The laguna is starting to fill. And it is its own performance art. Not the type that upsets taxpayers when they discover their hard-earned money has been shelled out to a woman smeared in chocolate syrup reciting her own poetry translated into Urdu. Nope. The natural kind. This year the laguna was opened to the sea to mitigate the flood damage that was expected from the recent tropical storm. It worked. To a degree. If it had breached on its own, the flooding would have been far worse. As a result of The Great Flush, the laguna’s character took on a Jekyll-Hyde switch. Hi Happy Friday!!! It's Stephanie here to share a card and to remind you that you still have time to get this amazing Kit Of the month. This kit is packed full of great spring images I just love it!! If you know me and my style I kind of have a thing for anything flowers and I LOVE this image!! I did a little paper piecing and layering for the bigger flowers and then I used my Copics to color the rest. At the moment I am using it for an summer evening cocktail party on the deck.

But.

I can also imagine using it for tea parties and even fora rolling potting cart in the garden. Maybe even a sewing cart. by Phil JohnsonSo despite what I said the other day, the archives will be available this month.

The Blog Tech, his wife and I went to a festival last Fall where they were serving this and I thought it would be a great meal for the after school kids. I finally got around to making it for them yesterday. This would be a great way to use up your holiday leftovers too. I started by making stuffing. And put a layer of it in my slow cooker. I roasted a turkey breast and cut it into pieces and layered it over the stuffing. I made turkey gravy, a lot of it, and drizzled some over the turkey.

Then I made mashed potatoes and put a thick layer of them over the top.

I topped them with butter and cracked black pepper The kids took big scoops from the bottom up and poured rich turkey gravy over the top.
